He may look familiar to some loyal fans and other participants of L-Men of the Year due to the outstanding efforts he has done to become the winner of this event.
In 2008, this U.S cruise ship bartender was forced to resign from L-Men of the Year Grand Final because of his job demands to leave for Europe. However, with full support from his family and his strong motivation, Rio made another attempt – a full two months preparation – to return in L-Men of The Year 2010. Since then, the myth of “opportunity does not come twice” is no longer true for him!
Becoming a bartender across Europe, America, and the Southern Caribbean, made him quite fluent in Italian. His favorite countries are Italy and Spain.
Rio also won a bronze medal for martial arts “tarung derajat” in National Sports Week in 2000, as a representative from Yogyakarta. via
